Accessibility

At Bradshaws Property Lawyers we are aware of the growing need to make web sites accessible to all users regardless of individual ability. Therefore we are committed to working towards ensuring as many visitors of our site as possible are able to access and use its content. We have taken this into account during the site design and made efforts to a ensure the content is consistently displayed between a number of browsers and also given consideration to those using low speed internet connections and limited functionality.

Access keys

The use of access key functionality depends on the type of operating system you are using as it is only supported by MS Internet Explorer 4 and above and by Netscape 6x versions. In Microsoft Windows platforms the user has to use the 'Alt' key with the specified access key, while with Apple Macintosh systems the user has to press the 'Ctrl' key with the access key.

Please note that there may be occasions when the access keys defined in this site may conflict with those user-specific access keys defined in the browser being used. Listed below are the recommended UK Government access keys being used in this site:

  • S - Skip navigation
  • 1 - Home page
  • 3 - Site map
  • 5 - Frequently asked questions
  • 8 - Terms and conditions
  • 9 - Feedback form (our email form)
  • 0 - Access key details (this page)

Site design

This site has been tested using the following browsers:

  • Internet Explorer 11.0 and Edge
  • Chrome (latest)
  • Mozilla Firefox (latest)
  • Safari (latest)

Conforming to web standards

Compliance and Web Accessibility has been checked for this site using the WCAG 2.0 standards to assess accessibility.

Every effort has been made to ensure we are compliant with at least Level 1 and wherever possible achieve Level 2 or Level 3 compliance with the WCAG 2.0 standards.

More details of the compliance checklist can be found by following this link provided by the W3C: http://www.w3.org/TR/2006/WD-WCAG20-20060427/appendixB.html.

Text size

We have designed our site to allow important and/or informational text to be increased or decreased in size. The following instructions set out how to do this.

  • Internet Explorer: from the menu select View, then Text Size, then select the size required
  • Mozilla Firefox: from the menu select View, then Zoom, then either Zoom In or Zoom Out options
  • Netscape: from the menu select View, then either Increase or Decrease options

Use of technology

Some use of Flash and JQuery has been incorporated into the site design. For the best possible experience we recommend you use the latest version of Flash which is a free download available from Adobe and ensure JavaScript is enabled in your browser. However, the site has been designed to accommodate users who prefer not to use these technologies and display content using standard HTML techniques.

Use of links

Links provided to content external to this site will open in a new browser window.

To ensure we continually strive to achieve the highest standards of usability and accessibility we welcome your feedback.
